Reviews

A number of critics and entertainment industry professionals have experienced the EMMY award winning children's program Bob's Job.  Here are just some of their reactions:

"We would love to see Bob's Job become a national PBS series." - Dan Alpert, Detroit Public Broadcasting WTVS Senior Vice President and General Manager

"We have a stack of submissions in our office over six feet high, and this program is the only one we would consider at this time.  Bob's Job is one of the best programs we've seen in years.  It's a natural, and if there were thirteen completed episodes, we feel confident we could place this program on a network immediately." - DIC Entertainment, a division of ABC/Disney

"Bob's Job is new, different, and truly funny.  It fills a niche in children's programming.  Our goal is to attract enough funding to make the program a national series." - Jay Nelson, formerly WTVS Vice President of Program Development, and newly appointed Station Manager of WFUM Flint, Michigan

"Bob is the inquisitive, comedic, and sometimes crazy tour director for kids, providing laughs along the way.  The program is not just for kids.  We loved it too." - The Oakland Press

"...be prepared to get on the Bob Train.  This program has the look and feel of an inevitable national success." - The Observer and Eccentric Newspapers

"The program is wonderful.  It's both funny and informative.  I believe this program will be tremendously successful.  The character Bob is hilarious!" - Bobby Conner, National Public Radio

"The show Bob's Job combines learning and laughing.  It's fun, inspiring, and an educational change of pace." - The Detroit News

"Bob's Job is a wonderfully comedic path to the house of knowledge." - Erik Smith, WXYZ-TV

"My three girls absolutely loved it.  The ten year old particularly appreciated all the alliterations. She's been memorizing them and spouting them around all weekend, and my seven year old thought it was just totally funny, and my soon to be five year old, she loved it too.  It's a much needed program." - Pam Waterman, Children's Author

"The show is fast paced, uses fun music, and rocks with plenty of kid jobs and funny stuff from beginning to end.  Bob's Job is a refreshing change from typical children's television.  It's truly helpful to kids." - Michigan Vue Magazine

Education Across the Nation

Today's teachers are always looking for cost efficient and engaging educational alternatives for their classes.  Virtually every school in the United States and Canada has a career day of one sort or another.  Imagine if each and every school had an entire catalog or series of career videos to choose from in a format that is both informative and engaging to the children, an encyclopedia set of careers!

Teachers all over support Bob's Job.  We have yet to encounter a teacher, or a child, that didn't enjoy and find value in the show.  The premiere episode of Bob's Job continues to be shown in hundreds of elementary schools across America as part of Northwest Airlines' educational outreach program.  All the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.  Here is just some of what educators and their students are saying about the program:

"Can you imagine three classes of elementary school kids sitting still for more than five minutes?  Well, they did with this program.  It's funnier and more entertaining than anything on TV." - Liz Urso, First Grade Teacher

"The kids loved it so much, they wanted to rewind it and watch it again.  I can't tell you who enjoyed it more, the teachers or the children.  Everyone in the room was laughing and learning at the same time.  I would love to see more programs like this one." - Mary Noone, Second Grade Teacher

"I was very impressed with the professional way it was filmed and presented.  Bob was funny, appealing to children and his message was extremely valuable.  This program is a natural.  I hope it becomes a series very soon, our kids need it." - Karen Williams, Third Grade Teacher

"Thank you so much for making Bob's Job.  All the kids really enjoyed it.  They want to know when there will be another one.  It fit in really well with an integrated unit we study in fourth grade.  The kids learn all about running a business and what it's like to have jobs.  Bob's Job was a perfect addition to our lesson." - Darcy Thompson, Fourth Grade Teacher
